A FATHERS group is urging dads to take more responsibility in becoming role models for the community.
Men of Vision spoke of “community impact” and creating an “atmosphere of love” after spending Father's Day (June 19) donating food to the Christian Soup Kitchen in Blackhorse Road, Walthamstow.
The group belongs to Praise Harvest Community Church in Leyton which says its aim is to “change lives” and “transform destinies”.
Reverend Moses Asare said: “All men are either fathers or one day may become one, either biologically or play a father figure in the lives of someone.
“We want to encourage men to become role models where the younger generation will look up to us.
“When fathers are absent in the community there is always uncertainty and lack of direction.
“Men need to be on duty and assume the responsibility to bring stability in our community, society and family life."
