More than 100 people enjoyed a tea party in the park.
People flocked to Cann Hall Park for the event organised by the South Leytonstone Area Development Association.
Children made tie-dye bags and had their hands decorated with henna, all provided by Parkside Productions.
SLADA chairman Mark Bonham said: “The Tea Party showed that many local people are keen to meet other residents in a relaxed setting and that the park and its hut can serve this purpose.”
