Commuters experienced long delays on the Central Line this morning due to a signal failure.
Trains had been running slow from every station westbound from Epping, due to technical issues at Stratford since around 7.30am this morning (Thursday, June 23).
TfL has described the delays as “minor”, however, some travellers reported being stuck at Leyton and Leytonstone stations for up to an hour.
@centralline these are NOT minor delays - been stuck at Leytonstone for an hour - left station to get a bus and now can't get back in

Many took to social media to complain about the delays, with one Twitter user describing her morning commute as "absolute chaos".
@centralline stop trolling us, it's not funny #Leytonstone is absolute chaos

Long queues formed at Leytonstone, with many commuters complaining trains had not been stopping at the station.
TfL said normal service had resumed on the line at around 11.15am.
