A Walthamstow school raised more than £3,000 for new playground equipment when it held its summer festival.
Emmanuel Community School staged a fair on the school grounds on Saturday (June 18), with proceeds going towards funding a new play area.
Families were able to enjoy a wide range of entertainment on offer, including face painting, a coconut shy, fresh cakes and go carts.
There were also appearances from the Mayor of Waltham Forest, Cllr Peter Herrington, a Pearly Queen and acclaimed Senegalese musicians Abdoulaye Samb and Minnjiaraby.
Peter Lewis Emmanuel head teacher, said: "It was fantastic to see so many local people enjoying themselves on the day.
“The children were excited to see the Mayor of Waltham Forest taking a turn on the coconut shy stall, many older members of the community also enjoyed meeting our Pearly Queen on the day.
“It was a great family day out".
