A man in his 50s has been arrested after a woman was assaulted in the woods.
Police were called to Bushwood, Wanstead at 6.18pm today (Thursday, June 23) to reports of an assault.
Two Met Police cars attended the scene near Wanstead Flats along with members of the London Ambulance Service (LAS).
The suspect was arrested and is being held in custody pending further investigation.
