Preacher Anjem Choudary has gone on trial accused of breaking terrorism laws in speeches published online.
Mr Choudary, 49, of Hampton Road, Ilford, appeared in court yesterday (Tuesday June 28) alongside co-defendant Mohammed Rahman, 33.
The pair have both denied charges relating to videos allegedly posted on YouTube in 2014.
Mr Choudary and Mr Rahman, of Sidney Street in Whitechapel, were first arrested on September 25, 2014, before being charged on August 5 last year.
Controversial Islamic preacher Mr Choudary, who was formerly based in Bromley Road, Walthamstow, co-founded the banned Islamist organisation al-Muhajiroun.
