Business owners working in the creative and cultural industries will be offered free advice at a newly opened centre in Walthamstow.

Funded by the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Waltham Forest Council, the scheme will offer eligible businesses one-to-one advice and business workshops at a hub in Central Parade.

Workshops, run by business support scheme Enterprise for London, will cover topics including online marketing, financial forecasting and business planning.

In addition, budding entrepreneurs will be given advice by successful business people from industries including fashion, property development and food and drink.

Richard Salmon, Enterprise for London chief executive, said: “We are seeing an increased number of businesses opening within the creative sector in Walthamstow and it appears to be a place that is attracting more and more start-ups.

“Our funding allows us to help both new and existing businesses to give them the right tools to create and grow sustainable businesses.”

The scheme will run until the end of August. To find out if you are eligible, contact Enterprise for London on: 020 7101 0696 or email: enquiries@enterpriseforlondon.com.
