School pupils raised hundreds of pounds for a new recording studio with a town centre performance.
On Friday (July 22), King Harold Academy in Waltham Abbey announced the year 10 function band raised over £200 earlier this month.
The pupils collected the donations on July 1, when they performed in Harlow town centre for more than three hours.
The money will go towards a new music recording suite at the school.
Head of music Diana Russell said: “As well as raising money this experience served them well for their GCSE performance coursework in which they have to perform as a member of a band - high marks are predicted after all this practice.
“Well done to the year 10 students who did King Harold Academy proud.”
