BIG NAMES including Scouting For Girls and Toploader are lining up for a day of free live music thrown by the council.

This year’s Chingford Get Together comes to Ridgeway Park, Old Church Road, on Saturday (August 13) and is featuring some big indie headliners.

Scouting For Girls made their fame with ‘She’s so lovely’ in 2007 while Toploader had the song of the summer in 1999 with ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’.

Alongside them is MOBO award-winning Shola Ama, Livin’ Joy featuring Luzahnn, a Whitney Houston tribute act and Walthamstow’s own Blank Bibles.

Running from 1pm to 8pm, the music stage, hosted by DJ Daddy Ernie, will be complemented by a range of food vendors and bars.
