Tens of thousands enjoyed a day of free live music featuring a big name line-up.

Scouting For Girls and Toploader entertained close to 19,000 people at this year’s Chingford Get Together on Saturday (August 13).

Revellers in Ridgeway Park, Chingford, were also treated to the MOBO award-winning Shola Ama, Livin’ Joy featuring Luzahnn, a Whitney Houston tribute act and Walthamstow’s own Blank Bibles.

Scouting For Girls made their fame with ‘She’s so lovely’ in 2007 while Toploader had the song of the summer in 1999 with ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’.

Council leader, Chris Robbins said: “This year’s Chingford Get Together was another fantastic community celebration, with residents of all ages coming together and enjoying the top class entertainment on offer.
