The air ambulance was scrambled after a man was injured in a crash between a car and a motorbike.
The casualty was airlifted to hospital following the collision in Sheering Road, near Sheering, at 10.12am today (August 25).
A rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew and Herts Air Ambulance responded.
They treated the man, believed to be in his 50s, for multiple leg fractures.
He was sedated at the scene before being flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for further treatment.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
