The line-up for this year’s Stow Festival has been announced, with more than 100 set to perform at the four-day event.

The annual music festival, which will holds its 2016 installment between Thursday, September 15 and Sunday September 18, offers a wide array at more than 20 venues across Walthamstow.

Among this year’s headliners are psychedelic explorers The Oscillation, Spanish punk-blues trio Guadalupe Plata, and DJ, producer and remixer Ashley Beedle.

Alongside the music, festival-goers will also be able to enjoy walks, panel discussions, comedy, art workshops and the Punk Waltham Forest season.

Influential record label and shop, Small Wonder will be resurrected and celebrated as part of this year’s Stow Festival.

The label operated out of Pete Stennet’s record shop of the same name at 162 Hoe Street, Walthamstow and made its name with the release of ‘Mucky Pup’ by Islington band, Puncture, in October 1977.

The label went to release classic cuts by Crass, The Cravats, Cockney Rejects, The Cure, Bauhaus and many others.

Central to the festival is an exhibition that contains a recreation of the original store as well as artifacts, memorabilia and personal recollections of Small Wonder.

The exhibition also considers the part played by Walthamstow in the early days of punk. The exhibit runs September 5 to 24 at Hoe Street Central, in Central Parade.

Printed programmes will be available from venues around Walthamstow in the run-up to the festival, and at the festival hub at Hoe Street Central.
