Anti-social behaviour, “bobbies on the beat” and closing police stations will all be on the agenda at a public police event this evening (September 15).

Members of the public will have the chance to quiz Essex Police bosses at the meeting in Epping Forest College, Borders Lane, Loughton.

Police and crime commissioner (PCC) Roger Hirst and chief constable Stephen Kavanagh will both answer public questions about crime and safety concerns.

The event follows the closure of Epping and Loughton stations to the public and heavy cuts to police community support officer (PCSO) numbers.

The meeting runs from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

People can submit questions on the night or in advance by emailing EssexPoliceChallenge@essex.pnn.police.uk.
