FIVE amateur photographers found themselves somewhere they never expected to be last weekend – snapping catwalk models at London Fashion Week.
Woodford & Wanstead Photographic Society members David Tyrell, Chris Saunders, David Tachauer, and Luciano Ocesesca were up bright and early on Saturday (September 24) to go to the Saatchi Gallery in central London.
They were greeted by a top fashion photographer who gave them a quick briefing on what to look out for, before the five men were thrown in the deep end at the end of the runway.
Club spokesman David Tyrell said: “None of us had done anything like it before, so it was certainly something different.
“It’s harder than it looks. You have to make sure the models have both of their feet on the ground and hands by their side, but hopefully we got a few good shots.
“Admittedly fashion shows aren’t usually our thing, so it was all very interesting.”
The Woodford & Wanstead Photographic Society meet every first and third Monday of the month at Wanstead House in The Green.
