A TEAM of police cadets endured 12 hours in the cells to raise thousands for a children’s hospice.
The Waltham Forest Volunteer Police Cadets, are handing over a hard-earned cheque for £2000 when they visit Haven House Children’s Hospice, in Woodford Green, on Sunday (October 2).
To raise the cash, the cadets packed bags, had a table top sale, washed cars and a sponsored lock-up for 12 hours in some police cells.
Cadet coordinator, Stuart Reid, said it is brilliant to see young Londoners using all their own time to give back to the community.
He added: “It shows the youth of London in their best light, taking them off the streets to see what they can achieve when they put their minds to it.”
