Leytonstone born Pete Styles Francis is living the dream as a choreographer to Hollywood stars including Alicia Keys, Pharrell Williams, Britney Spears and Kendrick Lamar, who is Pete's favourite to work with.

After only taking his first dance class at the age of 19 at Pineapple Studios in Covent Garden, by the age of 21, Pete was dancing and touring for Kylie Minogue.

He initially studied Psychology and Sociology at the University of East London in Newham, but opted to pursue a career in dance instead and has had no regrets since.

He is currently on tour in America with Gwen Stefani after choreographing her Misery music video earlier this year and can't believe how far he has come from listening to No Doubt in his bedroom as a child.

He says: "It feels great to be on tour with her because I have always been a fan of her music.

"We are all having a lot of fun and besides having the best time on stage, we have all bonded a lot off stage too.

"I've dreamed about being on tour with an artist like this for a long time and I also get to see and discover the different States."

After moving to LA, he began auditioning straight away while also working as a host at a burger restaurant to make ends meet. He was later told that he was not allowed to keep that job as he was on an artist visa, so he quit and made sure he started start booking jobs within the dance world in order to stay in his dream job in America.

He explains: "Everything changes quickly over here. At the moment, I teach in LA's top dance studios but I also choreograph stage shows, videos and work within artist development. As of now I don't know if I will be dancing for another artist. Though that could all change tomorrow. That's sometimes how it works.

"I do not have plans to come back to the UK to live, though I am hoping to work in London periodically. I still do miss it and would give me a great excuse to see friends and family.

"I have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into getting to the stage that I am in America. I would like to continue building from here."

Pete is hoping to inspire other young people growing up in east London to follow their passion.

He says: "I believe that east London is one of the most unique, multi-cultural places in the world, however you sometimes don't realise this while living there, although it plays into a large part of your character.

"I think this gives me an advantage while living in Hollywood and it reflects within my dancing.

"I think that it is easy to get comfortable within your surroundings. One thing that I have learnt is to continue to dream and visualise where you want to be. It can all be achieved. Regardless of where you're from and what you have right now. The work has to constantly be put into whatever you love to do."
