DRIVERS in Wanstead are facing disruption this week after gas works closed a busy junction.
National Grid has closed Wellesley Road at the Hermon Hill junction near Snaresbrook Station until Friday (October 14) to fix an emergency gas leak.
A National Grid Gas spokesman added although traffic should be back to normal by the end of the week “duration of works cannot be guaranteed” when it comes to unforeseen weather conditions and external agencies.
