A FOURTH man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 27-year-old and trying to kill his father.

The 19-year-old was arrested at an east London police station on Tuesday (October 11).

He is suspected of killing Ricky Hayden after a disturbance outside his home in Gibbfield Close, Chadwell Heath, in the early hours of September 13.

Mr Hayden and his father went outside at around 1.25am to find a group of men trying to steal a moped.

Both men were stabbed and rushed to hospital, where Ricky was pronounced dead in the early hours of the next day.

His father has now been released from hospital.

Tommy Roome, 19, was also arrested on suspicion of the murder and attempted murder and is still in custody, due to appear at the Old Bailey on December 13.

Another 19-year-old and a 16-year-old were arrested over the stabbings on September 14.

The 19-year-old has been bailed until November, but proceedings against the 16-year-old were dropped.

The newest suspect has been bailed until early December.
