CHILDREN ditched their school uniform for brightly coloured clothes to promote a road safety message.
Pupils from Bancroft's Prep, in High Road, Woodford Green, joined in with the Redbridge Road Safety Team's Dayglow Day initiative.
The pupils were told 'it's time to shine' and dress in their brightest clothes to promote the message that during the oncoming shorter days of winter, children should be bright when travelling to and from school.
The underlying message of the day was 'be bright, be seen and stay alive'.
