A charity helping find housing for homeless people was “delighted” with the generosity of a school’s harvest donations.
Pupils from the Chigwell School delivered an “astounding” £3,000 worth of food to Streets2Homes in Harlow last week.
It is the eighth year the school has supported the charity.
Manager Kerrie Eastman accepted the food collected from parents, pupils and staff.
She spoke about the work of the centre transforming many lives, including people who have moved from being homeless to jobs and housing.
School chaplain Father Simon Paul thanked everyone who contributed to the collection.
