A MAN was stabbed as he got off a train after an argument with a group of teenagers.
British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for information after a 50-year-old man was stabbed in the leg at Snaresbrook Tube Station in the early hours of October 22.
The victim was involved in a "verbal altercation" with a group of teenage boys as he was travelling on the Central Line.
When the train arrived at Snaresbrook at around 1.20am the gang followed him to the barriers, before one of them attacked him with a knife.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries but has since been discharged.
BTP's DC Jon Howlett said: “Violence will not be tolerated and a thorough investigation is underway to identify the offenders.
"A minor dispute appears to have escalated into a physical confrontation, in which the victim sustained a serious injury.
"I would like to speak to anyone was in the area around the time of the incident or was on the Tube and saw the offenders and victim prior to the assault."
“The offenders are a group of boys aged in their mid to late teens."
