Wanstead Tube Station was closed this morning after a man was hit by a train.
Emergency services were called to the incident at around 8.55am this morning (Saturday November 5).
A man had been trapped under a train at the station.
Crews from London Fire Brigade attended to free the man, who was suffering from head and pelvic injuries.
An air ambulance landed on George Green at around 10am to transport the casualty to hospital.
The Central Line station was closed for around two hours this morning while emergency crews worked to free the man.
The incident caused severe delays on the line, with no service between Leytonstone and Newbury Park eastbound.
The station has now reopened.
A good service is currently running on the rest of the Central line.
