THESE selfish drivers were caught using their phones behind the wheel by a Guardian Series photographer.

Yesterday (November 16), in a half hour period we snapped 9 people brazenly zooming across the A406 in South Woodford with no disregard for other people's safety.

Although the speed limit there is 50mph, these drivers' phone calls and text messages were far more important.

If they had been caught by the police instead of one of our journalists, they would have been given three points on their licence and fined up to £1,000.

Some get disqualified from driving altogether.

But clearly, these people think they are above the law.

Last week, one of our photographers shot 12 people being driven to distraction in the same place and we have pledged to make this a regular feature.

But what will it take to stop people from committing this reckless crime?

So once again, we make no apology in publishing our gallery of shame.
