MYSTERY surrounds a fire at a pumping station yesterday.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) sent four fire engines and 21 firefighters to the blaze in Abbey Lane, Stratford yesterday morning (November 23).
Over 10m of high voltage electric cables were found fire damaged in an underground sewer chamber.
LFB had the flames under control an hour and a half after they arrived at the scene (1.30pm).
The cause of the fire is unknown.
