A BARBER SHOP was left buzzing yesterday after snooker legend Ronnie O’ Sullivan came in for a trim.

The five time world champion has earned over £8 million in winnings throughout his 30-year career, but was happy to pay just £15 for a cut at The Wanstead Barber Shop yesterday (November 23).

Owner of the High Street barbers Emma said the 40-year-old from Chigwell was “very down to earth”.

She said: “I recognised him straight away, but I’m not a huge sports fan, so we didn’t talk snooker until later on.

“He was very friendly. He did a few autographs then said he was off to the pie and mash shop for lunch after.”

But there was some disagreement on which style would best suit The Rocket.

Emma added: “He wanted a full on mohawk, but we settled for a longer version, so he could get used to it and go for the real thing next time.

“He tweeted to say he was really pleased with it and he’ll be back again for his Mohawk soon.

“We have had the Leyton Orient players in before, but I think he’s probably the most famous.”
