Studio 3 Arts, based in Church Lane, is honouring an array of inspiring people in Leyton and Leytonstone for its latest exhibition, Creative Profiles.

In a bid to seek out where, why, by whom and how creativity happens in these areas, the studio has sought out those involved in hairdressing, nail art, tattooing, car-spraying, sculpture, fine art, writing music, playing an instrument, rapping, singing, floristry, dance, gardening, carpentry, acting, writing, tailoring, street art, designing and crafting.

Photographic portraits of some of the creative locals who live and work in Leyton and Leytonstone will be displayed and will include, Hip Hop dancer Theo Oloyade, carpenter Sue Wheat and Sydney Aldridge, an actor who also recently appeared in the studio’s summer production of Merchant Of Venice, in Barking Town Centre.

Talking about the project, Liza Vallance, who is the Studio 3 Arts artistic director, says: “We’re super excited to share these portraits of the varied creative people living and working in Leyton and Leytonstone.

“We’ve met lot’s of really great people and we hope that this exhibition will help us to connect with even more as the project moves into the next phase of the mapping exercise. We’d love to meet anyone who is interested in the project, pop on down to see us.”
