A POLICEMAN was assaulted as he tried to disperse a large group of youths outside an Overground station.
Police officers were responding to calls of anti-social behaviour outside Highams Park Station on Monday (November 28), when the trouble began.
At around 5.30pm one youth assaulted a police officer, requiring more police to be called.
The youth was arrested and two further youths from the group were arrested on public order offences.
Police managed to disperse the group, monitoring the area for several hours after the incident.
