A TV STAR is calling on people to donate to a children’s hospice after the indulgence of Black Friday.

Former star of The Only Way Is Essex Sam Faiers visited Haven House Children’s Hospice as part of #GivingTuesday this week (November 29).

The social media campaign encourages people to do good for charity after spending money on themselves and their loved ones during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

The 25-year-old was taken on a tour of Haven House’s holistic care centre in High Road, Woodford Green, where she heard about how it supports a mum from Romford called Keeley.

Keeley Johnson’s son Logan was born on December 1 last year with Leigh syndrome, a severe neurological disorder which makes breathing, moving and eating extremely difficult.

Keeley also lost her first child Evelyn to the condition in 2014 when she was just seven-months-old.

Haven House staff helped her through Evelyn’s short life and is now helping look after Logan.

Sam said: “Haven House does such an amazing job and when you hear a story like Keeley’s, it makes you realise why it’s so important to support local children’s hospices.

“So I hope everyone can make a donation to its Christmas appeal.”

The hospice’s chief executive added: “Sam is an incredible supporter of our hospice and has done so much for us in the past year.

“She opened our new charity shop in Romford and is now helping to raise awareness of our vitally important Christmas appeal.

“To continue supporting families like Keeley and Logan’s, we really need the public to dig deep this festival season and make a donation to our charity.”
