A new hospital website has gone online more than two months after hackers brought the previous one down.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital’s site was taken offline on September 9 after its security was “compromised” by the cyber-attackers.

The Harlow facility’s website, www.pah.nhs.uk, is now back available again with a complete redesign.

A spokeswoman for the NHS trust said the site is uses the latest software and is “compliant with the latest requirements and maintained to protect against known security vulnerabilities”.

The hospital, which was recently placed in special measures by the Care Quality Commission, previously said no patient data was held on the attacked website and there were no breaches of confidential information.
