African drumming and a world food kitchen brought festive cheer to a Christmas fair with a difference.
Our Lady of Lourdes RC Primary School in Chestnut Drive, Wanstead, held its PTA event on Saturday (December 3).
Food cooked by parents from around the world warmed up guests, with head teacher Edward Cottle saying the selection was “better than Westfield”.
Other attractions included the African drumming circle, face painting, go karts, a treasure hunt and a visit from Santa Claus.
The event raised about £3,000 for the school.
Mr Cottle said: “The kids thoroughly enjoyed it.
“I think the visitation from Father Christmas brought some Christmas cheer to everybody.”
