A man has been charged with drink driving as part of a police Christmas crackdown.
Matthew Butler, 24, was charged after his arrest in Valley Hill, Loughton, at 8.35pm on Monday (December 5).
Mr Butler, of Copse Hill, Harlow, is one of 24 people who have been charged with drink driving since the start of Essex Police’s Christmas Anti-Drink and Drug Driving Campaign last Thursday (December 1).
Between Thursday and Monday, 32 drivers were arrested for drink driving offences and 12 for drug driving offences.
Mr Butler is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on December 21.
