A charity shop will hold a Christmas fun day to raise money for hospices and neurological care.

The Sue Ryder store in High Street, Walthamstow, will host the event with face painting, a treasure hunt and gingerbread house building.

Children will also have the chance to win personalised teddy bears.

Manager of Sue Ryder store in High Street, Walthamstow, Sam Lang, said: “We’re excited to hold ‘Sue Ryder Christmas Fun Day’ again this year after the success of last year’s event.

“It’s the perfect way to do something festive and support a good cause at the same time.

“There will be a whole host of activities for all the family to enjoy and shoppers can pick up a bargain from our large selection of new and second-hand goods.”

Cash raised at the event will go to the Sue Ryder charity, which has seven hospices, five neurological centres in the UK.

The fun day will run from 11am to 4pm on Sunday December 11.
