A TUBE station remarkably closed its doors to commuters due to an "absence of staff".
At around 6pm on Sunday (December 18), Transport for London announced it had to close Blackhorse Road Underground station.
The reason behind the sudden closure of the Victoria line stop was given as an "absence of station staff".
Keeping its commuters in the lurch overnight, it only announced it was re-opening at 5.15am this morning.
Passengers took to Twitter to vent their frustration at TfL.
Adam Betteridge said: "Seriously, how is that acceptable?
"Is there even a need for any staff there?"
@victorialine @TfL seriously, how is that acceptable and is there even a need for any staff there?
