The police officers fell asleep leaving the crime scene unprotected.
TWO police officers were given final warnings after falling asleep at a crime scene.
PC Scott Stark and PC Joynal Miah, of Tower Hamlets Police, were found sleeping on the floor at 4.30am, leaving their equipment and the crime scene unprotected.
The pair were deployed to protect a crime scene on Wednesday December 21 and the case was heard at a misconduct hearing on the same day.
The panel found the allegations of 'Duties and Responsibilities' and 'Discreditable Conduct' to be proven.
Both officers showed remorse for their failings and both had no previous complaints made against them.
The location of the crime scene has not been disclosed.
