ASPIRING daredevils are getting the chance to grill an ex-SAS reality TV star on his colourful career next month.

Fans of SAS: Who Dares Wins will have the chance to put their questions to its star and chief instructor Ant Middleton at a fundraiser for Haven House Children’s Hospice on February 22.

Mr Middleton spent four years with the SAS’ sister organisation the Special Boat Service (SBS) and put contestants through a series of merciless endurance tests as part of last year’s Channel 4 show.

One of those was Haven House PR manager Scott Roberts, of Grove Road, South Woodford.

The 31-year-old travelled to the Ecuadorian jungle for the show in May but suffered a frustrating injury that meant he did not feature beyond the first episode.

The Q&A session with his former instructor is being sponsored by Lexus Woodford to help raise as much money as possible for the children’s hospice in High Road, Woodford Green.

Haven House chief executive Mike Palfreman said: “Ant is an inspiring individual and we were all captivated by the most recent series of SAS: Who Dares Wins which saw our very own PR & Celebrity Manager take part.

“We are extremely grateful to Lexus Woodford for sponsoring our Ask Ant evening and hope it can raise as much funds as possible for life-limited children in our local area.”

Tickets for Ask Ant at 7pm at Sir James Hawkey Hall in Broomhill Road cost £20.

Teenagers over 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
