A MAN was left “traumatised” after he was punched and kicked in the street in an early morning attack.
On Saturday September 24 last year at around 3am, police were called to Romford Road near Wanstead Flats in Forest Gate to reports of a fight.
They arrived at the scene to find a 38-year-old had been assaulted.
Police believe it happened after an argument outside a club
CCTV footage shows someone punching the victim in the face and kicking him behind a car after falling backwards onto the street.
The images then show a man heading away from the scene with a limp.
Officers believe him to be a white man in his mid 40s, 5ft 10in tall, with a bald head, and wearing a black leather jacket, dark blue trousers and dark shoes.
No arrests have been made so far.
PC James Brevitt, who is investigating the attack for Newham Police, said: “This is a brutal attack and has left the victim traumatised.
“We are keen to identify the man in the CCTV footage so we can speak to him about the incident. We would also urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us."
