Dig out your finest tartan and stock up on fresh tatties and neeps, as Burns Night is quickly approaching.
The legendary Scottish celebration is set to brighten up the miserable month of January next Wednesday, which is held every year on the birthday of eighteenth century Scottish poet Robert Burns, a pioneer of the Romantic poetry movement who wrote the New Year staple Auld Lang Syne.
The day is also known as Burns Supper and usually embraces haggis, scotch whiskey and readings of his poetry, so don’t miss an array of events that are being held in London over the next week…

Queen Of Hoxton, in Shoreditch, is hosting a Burns Night party, which will be held in a rooftop wigwam. There will be whiskey tasting with free Glenfiddich, as well as live music from Will Allen, hot and cold cocktails and a traditional “Address to a haggis”.
