POLICE have released new CCTV images of the suspects in a £50,000 jewellery raid.

THE store manager was assaulted and tied up by two men who robbed £50,000 worth of goods after he refused to buy their jewellery.

The incident happened at Turquoise Jewellers in London Road, Barking, at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, December 27.

The men had offered jewellery for sale to the manager and when he refused they punched him in the face and over the head and tied him up.

They then emptied the shop and the safe taking off with over £50,000 worth of jewellery.

The victim, 45, was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

Police have released CCTV images of two men taken on December 17 2016, ten days prior to the robbery.

A third suspect stood outside the shop as a lookout on his mobile phone and then entered the shop and left with the other two suspects carrying bags laden with the shop's contents.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect One is described as a white man with a black beard wearing a grey bobble hat, dark blue jacket with a tartan hessian laundry bag over his shoulder, dark trousers and black trainers.
