BUDDING drama students spent a day honing their acting skills at a famous performing arts school.

Members of Redbridge College, in Romford, spent a day at the Royal Academy Of Dramatic Art (RADA), in Gower Street, Fitzrovia, last Wednesday.

They took part in a class led by a RADA acting teacher, where they were encouraged to explore their imagination in order to get further into character.

The students will use the skills they learnt in an upcoming film and acting project as part of their course at the college.

Speaking after the visit, Josh O’Connor, a performing arts student at Redbridge College, said: “I was amazed that we had the opportunity to work at such a famous drama school. It is my dream to study here in the future.”

Tim Smith, curriculum operations manager for performing arts at the college, said: “We are immensely grateful to RADA for setting up this visit and I know that my students are really looking forward to working with them over the next year.

“The students were really buzzing with excitement after the visit and it has inspired them to aim to study there.”
