It's a very cold Thursday in east London this morning and there's a Tube strike just to make matters worse.

But here's all the traffic and weather information you need to get through Thursday and on the way to the weekend.

8.30am

Weather

It’s a very cold start to the day in east London, with temperatures of -1 degrees until 10am. Don’t expect temperatures to creep far above freezing for most of the day, although there will be some winter sun around 3pm.

Tube

Due to strike action there is NO CENTRAL LINE SERVICE between Leytonstone and Hainault/Woodford/Epping and severe delays on the rest of the line.

There is a shuttle bus running between Epping and Chingford calling at Epping, Debden, Loughton and Chingford providing connections to London Overground services.

It will not call at Theydon Bois. You should go to Epping or Debden for the shuttle bus to Chingford.

People using east London Central Line stations are advised to get buses to Leytonstone/neighbouring open stations to get the Tube.

There are minor delays on the District Line between Turnham Green and Ealing Broadway due to a signal failure.

Expect minor delays on London Overground between Liverpool Street and Enfield Town due to signalling problem at Bethnal Green.

TfL Rail services are suspended between Shenfield and Brentwood due to planned engineering works. Replacement buses are operating.

There is a good service on the Waterloo & City Line despite 24-hour strike action.

Greater Anglia and Stansted Express trains are running 10 minutes late due to a signal failure.

Traffic

The A406 North Circular has a lane closed on the slip road at the Crooked Billet Roundabout in Walthamstow due to a burst water main and emergency repairs. Expect only one lane to be open towards Edmonton until 6pm tomorrow (January 27).

There is heavy traffic further down the A406 at South Woodford.

Expect queues on the A12 at both Gants Hill and Chadwell Heath.

There is still heavy traffic on the A13 but all lanes have reopened after an accident at Movers Lane in Barking.

Expect the normal queues on the M11 between South Woodford and Loughton.
