A CHURCH singer took Jennifer Hudson’s breath away with a beautiful rendition of a Dreamgirls classic on The Voice.
Israel Allen, 26, from Walthamstow, is more at home singing at his church but he showed no sign of stage fright during blind auditions on Saturday (February 4).

He wowed the judges and audience as he belted out Jennifer’s iconic 'And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going' from Dreamgirls.

His performance certainly had its effect on Jennifer who pushed her red button and is taking him under her wing for the next round.
As a musical director at his church, Israel said he spends more time there than at home.
He added: “Growing up I was a shy child, but now I am the complete opposite and love taking to the stage.”
