If your shelves are gathering dust due to an ever-growing pile of books that haven’t been read for years, why not clear some space by taking part in the book swapping event across 70 venues across London this Saturday.

Set up six years ago by Discover, a story centre in Stratford which is aimed at encouraging children to read, the aim of the day is for people to recycle old books and give children new books to read for free.

Some of the venues will include, Forty Hall and Estate, in Enfield, Gants Hill Children’s Library, Cranbrook Road, Goodmayes Children’s Library, in Ilford, Redbridge Central Children’s Library, in Clements Road, Ilford, William Morris Gallery, in Forest Road, Walthamstow and Woodford Green Children’s Library, Snakes Lane West.
