COFFEE fiends enduring the Central Line to work every day have just got a much-needed perk to their mornings.

A new coffee stall from the Perky Blenders opened inside Leytonstone Underground station this week, promising well-crafted flat whites to overtired commuters.

Walking down into Leytonstone’s ticket hall you would be forgiven for ignoring the latest stall from the Walthamstow-based coffee roasters.

Entering the station is a business taken seriously - disrupting the flow of rushing people as you veer left towards to this new coffee venture may crush more than a few toes.

But it’s a worthwhile trip for a caffeine fix at a stall, which black and white exterior settles in seamlessly with the familiar surrounds.

The flat whites, priced at £2.50, are a thing of beauty – creamy, smooth and strong enough to get you through until at least Liverpool Street.

Lattes, cappuccinos and long blacks also come in at £2.50, while sweet-toothed commuters will have to pay £3 for their hot chocolates.

Temptation doesn’t end there, with a choice of five sweet and savoury treats for £2 apiece on hand to soak up the caffeine.

The stand out indulgence looks to be the chocolate sourdough Danish swirl, though the cinnamon brioche with cream cheese frosting also allures.

Bags of Perky Blenders coffee, roasted just up in the road in Walthamstow, are available to take home for £6.50.
