DRAMATIC pictures have shown a crash between a bus and a car, which left a driver in hospital.

The car and bus smashed into each other in Old Church Road, Chingford, at about 11.30am yesterday (March 7).

Medics took the driver of the car to hospital, describing his injuries as "non life-threatening".

The road was closed in both directions while recovery services cleared the totalled Ford Fiesta, which had its roof caved in under the force of the bus.

Police reported no injuries to the bus driver and the passengers on board.

No arrests have been made.
