A FIRE broke out at a shop, tearing through two floors.
Four fire engines from across east London were called to the blaze in Morning Lane, Hackney at 12.45pm yesterday (Wednesday, March 9).
The flames damaged the shop’s extractor fans, part of the ground floor, and part of the second floor.
The team of 20 firefighters tackled it for nearly two hours, but had the fire under control just before 2.30pm.
Officers are still investigating what caused the blaze.
