A CHILDREN’S HOSPICE has bagged a Government Minister to speak at its first women’s networking event.

Haven House Children’s Hospice in Woodford Green is preparing for its first ever Women in Business Lunch at the Royal Automobile Club in central London on March 22.

The networking lunch is focused on the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day, be bold for change, and will be kicked off by the Minister for Women and Equalities Justine Greening MP.

It aims to inspire women to fight for greater equality in all parts of their life, both at home with their families and at work in the corporate world.

Networkers can also expect a panel discussion with representatives from the Bank of England, the Economist Educational Foundation, the City of London, and financial firms MFS Management and Mizuho.

Ticket proceeds will all go back to helping the severely disabled and life-limited children at Haven House.

The hospice’s director of income generation and marketing Jenni Anderson said: “We are delighted to have secured the participation of the Minister for Women and Equalities and so many other inspirational senior executives for our inaugural Women in Business.

“At Haven House we have strong female representation at every level of our charity, but we know from our supporters and families who work in the City that this is not always the case across the corporate sector.

“Our Women in Business Lunch is an opportunity to reaffirm the need for greater equality in corporate life and will raise vital funds for our hospice.”
