A second man has been arrested after a teenager after a teenager died in a shooting.

The suspect, aged 20, was arrested yesterday (Monday, March 20) in with the murder and remains in custody at a south London police station.

An 18-year-old man was found by police in St Ann's, Barking, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head at around 7pm on Sunday (March 19).

He was taken by paramedics to an east London hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10.25pm.

His ext of kin have been informed.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place today at Queens Hospital Mortuary.

Another 20-year-old man was previously arrested in connection with the murder and asw bailed pending further enquiries until May.

Police continue to appeal for information following the shooting.

Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Piscopo, who is leading the investigation, said: "I am appealing for anyone who was in the area of St Ann's at around the time of the murder and who saw anything suspicious to contact police.

"My team continue to work to establish the series of events which led to this murder and, at this early stage, retain an open mind as to the motive."
