A ROAD was cordoned off by police overnight.
Hainault Street in Ilford was taped off by officers just before 9.30pm yesterday (March 24) due to a “police incident”.

The area between High Road and Ley Street, near Ilford Police Station, reopened just before 9am yesterday, after fourteen bus routes were diverted.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they were called to adjoining Holstock Road at 2am on Saturday to "reports of an assault".
When they arrived, almost four hours after the road closed, they found a man had been injured.
He was taken to hospital by an ambulance and a man was arrested.
He remains in custody and enquiries continue.
