THE STYLE of 1920s east London is touchingly revealed in a black and white photograph showing two young women outside their Walthamstow home.
A postcard showing two young women outside 62 King Edward Road, Walthamstow, dated from the late 1920s, has gone up for sale on eBay.
However, this rare find has still gone unnoticed with no bids willing to take to move it off its £6 entry mark.
Keith Foster, of Farnan Avenue, said the photo demonstrates for anyone looking for relatives, they should never give up hope.
He said: "But also in a unique way, images such as this clearly echo the fight for survival Britain made during the Second World War.
"The majority of the original iron gates and railings as shown in the picture, were taken down and removed from 1941 and melted down to make shells for the war effort."
