He was rushed to hospital by paramedics, but was pronounced dead at 10.25pm.

The victim has since been named as 18-year-old David Adegbite and his family have been informed.

On Monday (March 27) a 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with Mr Adegbite’s murder and has been bailed until late May.

The next day a 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and is still being held at a police station in east London.

A 20-year-old had previously been arrested, but has been bailed until later this year.

DCI Jamie Piscopo who is leading the investigation is still looking for more witnesses to come forward.

He said: “I’m still appealing for anyone who was in the area of St Ann's at around the time of David's murder and who saw anything suspicious to contact police.

"My team continue to work to establish the series of events which led to this murder and, at this early stage, retain an open mind as to the motive."
